Silver Spring Family Dentistry was founded in 1984 by
Dr. Young J. Lee with the vision of creating a dental practice that treats every patient with dignity and first-rate care. Our office is highly trained and exceptionally friendly. We understand that for many, visiting a dentist can be a stressful experience. Our comfortable surroundings and compassionate dental professionals will ease your fears.
Dr. Christine Lee Kim
Dr. Christine Lee Kim earned her BA degree in Biology at Cornell University. She then graduated with honors and received her DDS degree at University of Maryland Dental School and continued there to complete her residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association, and Southern Maryland Dental Association. Dr. Kim is listed as a "Top Dentist" in Washingtonian Magazine 2023 and Bethesda Magazine 2024.
Dr. Kim has been practicing for over 22 years. She enjoys treating families from toddlers all the way to seniors. She is a firm believer in teaching good oral health right from the start. Dr. Kim also has great interest and experience in cosmetic dentistry and crown & bridge rehabilitation.
Growing up in this neighborhood has provided strong ties to the Silver Spring community. When she’s not working, Dr. Kim enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, and dog. With her family she loves going to the ballpark to cheer on her favorite team, the 2019 World Series Champions-the Washington Nationals.
Dr. Young J. Lee
Dr. Young J. Lee received his DDS degree at Seoul National University and at the School of Dentistry, State University of New York at Buffalo. Next, he completed a post-graduate program in Removable Prosthodontics, also at SUNY Buffalo. He trained further in a residency program in Maxillofacial Prosthetics at Roswell Park Memorial Institute in Buffalo, NY. He then served as an Associate Professor in the Prosthodontic Department at the School of Dentistry, West Virginia University for five years.
Dr. Lee recently retired from practice and now enjoys traveling and pursuing his passion of photography. Please come and witness his amazing photography displayed on our office walls and relaxing screensavers.
